Yeah.. Mine as well... Wouldn't hurt to try... In a few years we would have all three Gs at center and that would be a very very good center corps - Sabres2012CUP
Put them all on the same line and you got the G line.

if the asking price for Ryan is already too high, I can't imagine what they would expect for Getzlaf. Centers are worth their weight in gold. It would be something like: our top 6 for Getzlaf.
Holy poop someone that actually watches the games.
Ive only been saying this for months now.
And been getting bashed for it. - dadeadhead
I've noticed your comments and could not reply to them before... I had to confirm your thoughts on the matter. Living in Southern California has some advantages.

Or a lot of younger player IF they are trying a rebuild.
Im not going to lie I think this is his big move and if he screws this one up.Well then idk. - evatnorth
At worst Ennis / Ryan put up the same amount of points ......but Ryan adds size at 6'2 and 160 hits. And those Hits now a days mean something .....its a big / taller players kind of league.
If we have to give up sekera too: The Sabres still would have Psysk / McNabb and have enough defensmen to recover from losing him. So even if sekera is sucessful .... i dont see that as being terrible or regret we made the trade. Psysk / McNabb potentially could be better then him anyways.

The problem is we don't have the center depth to trade Ennis. Unless Darcy has a second move lined up to get another center.
My buddy whos an NY Ranger fan told me this little rumor "pre nash trade" that ALMOST happened:
Gaborik for Pavelski / Boyle from the sharks- So i can see the Rangers trading for a top 4 D and another center. The Rangers issues are center depth and d depth.
And i agree with your TSN guys doan opinions. Right now the Sabres Roster cant be too appealing no matter how much money they throw at Doan. Adding Bobby Ryan would atleast show that they are " serious" about winning a cup and want to continue to get better.
If the sabres dont get either Ryan or Doan ...... im calling it a "rebuilding year" - buffalofan1027
They might as well put Vanek on the market and see what he will fetch in a trade, although based on Nash, probably not much

SABRES LOOKING FOR WAYS TO LAND RYAN
Although the Buffalo Sabres keep dreaming of acquiring coveted free agent Shane Doan, there are no guarantees that landing him will make the team a team Stanley Cup contender next season.
After missing the playoffs for the third time in the last five years, the Sabres' highest selling point relies on their new passionate owner Terry Pegula, who would love to add an offensive powerhouse to his lineup.
While Doan is could re-sign with the Phoenix Coyotes or move to an established contender like the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers or New York Rangers, the Buffalo News reveals that the Sabres could focus all of their attention on Anaheim Ducks sniper Bobby Ryan, who has been on the trade block for several weeks.
However, the News claims the Sabres are not willing to move left wing Tyler Ennis or many of their other young forwards, but could instead offer up some of their several defensemen, such as Andrej Sekera and Jordan Leopold or prospect Mark Pysyk.
According to the News, the Ducks would still demand one or two forwards in return for Ryan, who tallied 31 goals and 26 assists for 57 points in 82 games last season.
