free agents don't sign with the devils and even Kovalchuk only did so after dragging it out for WEEKS trying to beg L.A. which was his first choice obviosuly and if wanted to go to a team set for the future and not the past he would have.

But the $100 million mark was a well reported must for Kovie and the Devils were the one's paying up with that crazy 17 yr deal...he went to the high bidder and passed up the better short and longterm situation with LA...kinda like how Devils fans charged Parise with but he actually went for the money and the better short/longterm situation with Minny.

Missing out on Semin who even chose a 1 yr deal for Carolina over you guys is it...same old, same old...literally with Sykora now coming to play in the top 6 again!

and for those saying wait for the deadline for Lou to round out the roster a)you'll be well out by then and b)you have NO assets outside of Larsson/Henrique/Zajac that will bring back anything of significance...NONE!

And speaking of Zajac...please, just one of you try and give a compelling arguement why in the world you don't think Zajac follows Zach right out the door!

we lacked alittle scoring depth, especially with our 40goal scorer palying with one arm due to the torn rotator cuff.

and Torts rode the top 4, really 3 dmen too much and wore them down but both of those shortcoming has been adressed.

Nash gives us additional scoring to go with Gaborik and a full season of Krieder will help bigtime in the depth scoring department and Staal who wasn't healthy all season should be back to 100% after the concussion last season and Sauer is also rported to be back from the concussion again so that plus Del-z and McD with another year and the defense will be amoung the tops in the NHL.

You see, players actually want to play for the Rangers and that is why Doan was in last week and drove right past Newark on his way to Phillys visit.

And when UFA's avaoid your team like the plague unless you offer 100+ million(well not in Zach's Case! ) and you have no prospects then you are stuck talking about trying to pry Brian Gionta or some other former washed up Devil to keep whatever fans they can in the building but the time has come for the overdue rebuild!

whats funny is watching Devil fans in total denial as if they have a shot at players that have a choice in where they want to play.

Zach just trolled your entire fanbase all year and the flip-flop you guys went from worship to hate has been joyful to watch the last few weeks.

and watching Zajac about to pull the "wash, rinse, repeat" in the Zach playbook with make for entertainment this year as well

We should have rebuilt after 03. Clearly since then everyone's been sayin marty's too old, we have no prospects, and no one wants to play here. You're on to something here. I do wonder where all these players have come from though.
