unfortunetly Darcy is not pro active, he waits and his patience allows other GM's to set the market, the Voracek deal is awful, holmgren screwed the market with the JVR deal also

every RFA that signs further justifies the salaries, Darcy can take his patient persona and leave any time now

he probably wants it short so he can cash in and buffalo wants it short so they still have RFA rights. i think it would be 3 years.. cap hit around 3.. 2.5, 3, 3.5.. or a whacky darcy deal of 1 mil per with a 4 mil signing bonus this season and another 2 next season

No news or rumors is good news! The ott trade came out of no where ......Roy for Ott was rumors at the deadline though. So we know the sabres were interested.

Now Bobby Ryan to Buffalo has been known about for sometime. (according to the philly reporter the Sabres almost trade for Ryan early in the season) So the Sabres are interested. So maybe once again ...... Ryan will come when we least expect it.
