That's what I mean but Ryan can still become elite IMO

y'all don't make any sense...

how does it make your team better when you've taken from you weakest position and added to a postion that doesn't need it?

ya can't put bottom six players in a top-six role for any extended lenght of time...putting rookies there, especially when they're jumping in straight from jr., has a tendency to do more harm than good...

you're sending away a player who's proven that he can at least hang with the big boys and bringing in a lesser talent or a question mark

I disagree if we had to put Ennis in a deal to get Ryan I'd do it, wouldn't even hesitate.

but...you said it yourself, he's not elite, but has the potential to be elite...

how far off is ennis?...based upon his numbers doesn't he still have upside?

With the recent signings it seems Ennis' price might be going up. If it gets too high for Darcy I think it's possible they could move him.

Ennis has a ton of upside but I personally like Ryan a lot more as a hockey player. Bobby Ryan doesn't only bring goals he brings some grit and size to the top 6

For a 7th rounder. Anaheim turns it down though. 7th is alot more valuable.

I cannot fathom how anyone can justify trading Ennis. If Ennis is traded who becomes our 2nd line center? Our team is already weak enough at center as is, we can't afford to trade our best one away.

the coach was on the radio not two weeks ago saying how ennis is going to get every opportunity to take over the #1 center role that was vacated when roy left

the GM has openly stated more than once that they are not moving tyler or cody

but yeah, they'll probably move him

We have siZe coming by the time ennis is ready that won't be a problem. I think people just need to relax on the three year plan petulant put forth. I bet at this point he greatly regrets that. This team is set if they continue down the current path to be great in 3 years. I just hope they think about it that for comtracts

1. The GM wouldn't say he was on the block if he was now would he.
2. That was 2 weeks ago, things can change in 2hrs.
3. The always fail-safe...Edmonton wasn't gonna trade Gretzky ever, either.
4. Edit: That sure sounds a lot like what the coach said about Roy after Briere and Drury left.

3 year 8.4M
- JVince11

He won't sign for that for 3 years. I see him signing for 1 year for 3 million or Buffalo has to give him the Voracek contract for 4 years.

This is for a player that has potential to score 25 to 35 goals and about 35 to 40 assists this year....he will get more ice time with Roy no longer here and if his line continues to click, they will help Buffalo get into the playoffs.

regier really needs to make a signature move, but, imo, ryan is not that...a great move?...possibly...but it would depend upon the price and i believe the price is too steep right now

Well I put Ennis as 2nd line center because I assume Hodgson will be centering a line with Vanek and Pominville and they should definitely have first-line preference over Foligno and Stafford, which is the line I'm assuming Ennis will be centering.

think its going to take a little more than that

1st year 3 mil
2nd 3.75
3rd 4 mil
4th year 4.25

avg cap hit 3.755 mil per

- billyk

This is reasonable...similar to how we tied up Roy and everyone thought at least his contract has value....we have done the same with sekera.
Therefore, contract will have a cap hit somewhere betwee 3 and 4 million, depending on term

Would it be legal to trade an unsigned Ennis++ for Bobby Ryan and then sign Ennis to a deal that Ana wouldn't match, a max deal, and then have Ennis come here and restructure his contract to what he really deserves. Its crazy but it might just work
