That would be a negitive. - SABRES 89
It is unreal if Darcy is seriously not making this deal because he's afraid of losing Ennis. |
|
|
|
that would be an interesting line, hodgsons playmaking, vaneks shooting, otts grit...problem would be where to put grigs or girgs or pommer at that point. 3rd line? - qcstudios
You as assuming the staff tennis foligno line will stay together I guess. I could see staff dropping back and pommer on that line. But I don't think we will see the ott hodge vanek line until at least the 4 th shift of the third game of the preseason |

All I know is we have the assets to make this deal happen and we need a signature move and the player is there for the taking. |

the sabres are thin down the middle, why do you trade a center for a winger? |

Ask yourself this. Does the trade make you a true contender right away. IMO the answer is no. Therefore why trade the prospects away? |

Because Bobby Ryan is elite and players like him don't come along everyday for trade, Ennis is a good hockey player but this team would be just fine without him. Also as far as centers go I am very confident in Grigorenko making the team this year and Girgensons isn't far off as well. |

I am always skeptical of anyone with two first names. See Luke Adam |

Great grits and zem are almost ready to be border line nhlers. Why are you willing to wait out for them but not armia? Even if we get ennis we are not a cup contender next season |

i really like ryan and would love to have him on the team
how come ennis isn't getting any love here?
the guy played less than 50 games and scored 15 goals on an 18.6% shooting percentage...
you mentioned hall and rnh, not that he should be compared to them, but if you look at their numbers, both scored over 20 of their total points on the powerplay averaging over 3 min/game...
ennis had 4 of his total points on the pp and less than 2min/game...
and you'll be breaking up the sabres hottest line from last year |

It's not about not showing Ennis love its about Bobby Ryan is a better hockey player and makes your team better. |

leo+ for matt read - b0s0o1
Philly wouldn't do that. Only way I see Philly moving Read would be as a part of a package for a significant name. |

Ryan is VERY GOOD, but not even close to elite |

Cool. Great point. We are not getting bobby Ryan for just ennis though. By the time the rest are worth it we will have to resign ryan at least ennis might still be a rfa |

y'all don't make any sense...
how does it make your team better when you've taken from your weakest position and added to a postion that doesn't need it?
ya can't put bottom six players in a top-six role for any extended lenght of time...putting rookies there, especially when they're jumping in straight from jr., has a tendency to do more harm than good...
you're sending away a player who's proven that he can at least hang with the big boys and bringing in a lesser talent or a question mark |
