Calgary didn't improve but how do you say Colorado and Minny didn't improve?

Minny added the 2 biggest FA of the summer to an already pretty good core and have great prospects coming through the system.

Colorado has a healthy line up again and added PA Parenteau. Of course they are better.

Try reading the entire sentence .

I said Min, Col, and Cal didn't improve enough, but they all improved, even Cal.

Min and Col might put some pressure on the Canucks at the beginning of the season, but they won't sustain it for the entire year. Van's roster is still deeper than both, in every position.

Raymond will be built into a tradeable asset much like Cody and move at the deadline.

Booth will be given a long, long look at top 6 time before being demoted to the third line.

- IanEsplen

I say that if 2 of Kassian/Schroader/Jensen make the team, then Raymond will be dealt before the season

How original...

Its amazing that Nuck fans keep saying how terrible and fragile the Oilers young guns are, but then you all say when they become RFA's you want them in Van? Which is it? Do they suck or are you just abunch of trolls that are jealous that the Oil are on the rise and the Nucks are on the decline?

You didn't really address the non Canucks fans butI'll answer your question above anyways.

Doan would be a perfect fit for the Canucks but I don't know if that would happen. I like Arnott at 3C (as I mentioend earlier). I don't really see a need on defense for the Canucks. None of the top 4 are really injury prone and Ballard and Tanev is a great third pairing IMHO.

None of the other guys are really an upgrade to what the Canucks have now. Maybe Huselius would be a compliment to shoot first mentality that Kesler and Booth have but had a pretty serious injury and doesn't really provide the jam the nucks need in the top 6.

He and Ballard will be packaged with Lu for Huberdeau, Gudbransson and a 6th rounder

He's a decent physical, drive the net player, but he's got limited hockey sense. His combination of twitter with bear hunting has made him unpopular as a person around these part.

Personally, I'd love to trade him with Lu for Thornton and Niemi. I'd be fine dealing him, but if he comes back, I'll suppress my urges to boo him.

Looked like he was getting into a groove right before he got injured. I liked what he brought at times, but he looked lost at others.

I'm willing to give him another season to improve.

I'm sick of Mike G's bandaid solutions on the bottom 6. I would much rather give the kids a shot then pick up any of these plugs. Even Down, I mean he is alright but no more then 6 mil
- Bieksa#3

Not really sure we have any "kids" who are as good as the top guys right now.

as far as the bottom guys on the list they are pretty much "kids" still.

bringing in a few for depth seems like a smart move.

Ariel still has upside, O'marra is a big, physical, banger that can win faceoffs, Duco is a character guy, and Danis-Pepin is a project type D

I'd love to see all 4 of these guys in Chicago and availible to call up.

That would be an enormous steal for the Canucks. I don't think Ballard is going anywhere...too tough to move. I don't want to turn this in to a "Luongo for...." thread so I won't comment any further.

I'd love to see all 4 of them in Chicago as well. 4 more plugs to score constantly against when we play the hawks.

I agree he made himself look bad with that bear hunting poop. He looked so promising before he had those two concussions! It's to bad he was a fan favorite down south but he seems pretty unpopular in VAN.

I'I like him. He does lack hockey sense. I also felt he was out of shape. Give him this season.

Meh, the Kings got hot. The Canucks had no Daniel for a few games, Kesler was injured and playing like a chump. We lost some close games to a team that put together one of the most dominant runs of all time. They weren't up to it when it came to crunch time, but it's not like they couldn't have won if they'd been in better shape.

No one mentions how the coach juggled the hell out of our healthy D going into the playoffs and starts with useless players like Raymond on the Sedin line. It seemed most people accepted that AV was going to be let go for his backwards preperation for the playoffs. AV even admitted he prepared with the assumption that Danny would be back which actually made him completely unprepared.

You cant meh it offas injuries and a hot GT. Gillis made his blunders as well at the TDL. He moved the gear that worked the second PP unit losing a offensive center even tho they knew Kesler was injured. Gillis also didnt successfully address losing Ehrhoff's offense or Torres and Glass' grit. This was not a case of the same team who made the final the year before simply being injured. The GM and Coach should carry much of the blame.

This time it was Schneider in net and the team couldnt score. This team is running out of scapegoats.

At the moment this team looks no better than last seasosns Oct with a repeat of the same absense of Kesler to start. Garrison may prove to be a upgrade on Salo but thats is no guarantee and not what I'd expect to be *impact*.

Semin signs in Carolina for 1 yr @7m. I like what the Canes are quietly doing over there.

Jokinen-Staal-Semin
Ruutu-Skinner-Semin

Not a bad top 6 IMO.
