I wonder why no one outbid the Flyers for Leighton. Have to figure the suitors were numerous.

HUGE Overpayment. I really don't understand the wet dream people have w/ Bobby Ryan on this board. He's good, but he's not worth 3-4 players. Watch Voracek pot 30 this year on G's RW and let the core mature.

Ryan for playing with two studs like Getzlaf and Perry numbers are underwhelming.

No way Jose.

You have a 2 to 3 year window with the Flyers right now. You make sh!te happen.

Gus won't play, Read is a 3rd liner, and the first round pick won't likely play for 3 years.

We can "maintain our core" for a while but you strike now.

I'd have to agree (except for the window part).

relentless.

i think they plan on playing bryz about 70 games if he's healthy. they know leighton can step in when called upon. knows the team, system, and is cheap. i don't see what the big deal is. bryz is the guy. let him be the guy without someone looking over his shoulder. leighton has also shown he can carry the load for a bit when necessary should an injury arise. i have no problem with him as our backup. in fact, i'm happy about it.

This. Move Talbot to Coots wing, and Moore to center the 4th line and play some PK min.

If you follow that rationale, then look for Nash to have a monster of a season for the Rags.

agreed, however people seem to think he's going to score 50+ on Giroux's wing if he came here. I would think that his current linemates strike more fear in defenses than a Hartnell/G/Ryan line would.

Giroux > Getzlaf

Hartnell <<< Perry

Just my $0.02

I think Leighton will play 12-15 games if Bryzgalov stays healthy.

To Ducks:
Matt Read (He can be a 2nd Line center. Filled in for Flyers, but needs tons of work at faceoffs)
Erik Gustafsson
1st
3rd

To Flyers:
Bobby Ryan

So do you advocate the Flyers trading a big package to Anaheim. Say Schenn +

I expect Nash will be very good with the Rangers unfortunately. The fact they didn't have to give up any of their core to get him makes me sick.

I would like to see a veteran center signed. If for nothing else than depth purposes.

I wouldnt go near any of the three. Huselius has played 41 games over the past two seasons, and hasnt played in more than 75 games since 07.

Hannan would interest me, execept for the fact that we already have him. His name is Andreas Lilja.

Kubina would be a serious no go. We had a first hand look at what he could bring.. and passed.

And we called Carter soft?

Those two are about as prone to injury as my 75 year old Parkinsonian grand mother.
