I find the whole idea repulsive and attractive... biggest concern = effect on the kids, especially Hallsy. I'm done with watching them lose, last year was better than the year before and if they step back I'll (frank)ing freak out. There is zero reason for the Oil to get worse except brutal management and we might see that cause we haven't seen positive results (lots of optimism, but that's it) to this point.

Laugh it off, I am assuming Clouts is as bored as we all are and spewing forth (horrible) ideas onto these pages. There is 0 chance the vets are all traded for more picks and prospects. I can't imagine Hemsky and one other vet gets moved without another experienced player coming back.
As sick as you and I are of seeing the Oilers lose, i'm sure the coaches and Katz are even more so, I just hope the same can be said about Lowe and Tambi...

His size and his speed were issues if I recall. Still though, can't deny his WJC performances, and he was a shining star on a horrible Regina team. - GuyLaDouche
He was drafted before he played in the WJ's was he not?
Hemsky and Musil (add a pick if needed) to CAR for Ryan Murphy. CAR needs a top 6 RW (unless you believe Larose is that guy, I don't) and Faulk's development has covered the role of small offensive Dman for CAR. The move wouldn't immediately help EDM, but he could get top 4 minutes in OKC. 2013 and on would then give EDM Petry, J Schultz, and Murphy as the offensive D men with Smid, N Schultz, and Klefbom as your stay at home D...Peckham and Teubert would be the 7th man sandpaper and Marincin and Gernat are the lotto tickets. If Whitney has a massive bounce back year, he'd still be in the fold, but unfortunately I see his ankle issues being an issue long term (if anyone else has blown tendons in their ankle before, you'll understand).

Murphy also suffered a severe concussion back in November and hasn't played since. Not a deal I'd make.
