I wonder how this team will be unstoppable with Dubnyk as the franchise goalie between the pipes. I am just not sold on him yet I suppose.

Sorry, I'll use language you'll understand:

Never go full retard.

Glad you're taking my advice.

Now how about a blog where we don't trade our only real top pairing dman for more (frank)ing picks.

Yeah but perhaps there is something in the EDM media pertaining to his health.

That's exactly my point. Don't re-sign these people. Move them out now while we have a chance. Horcs, if we can't dump him with an Amnesty clause, we can buyout in his last season to get rid of him.

My hypothesis is this: Your parents were "kissing cousins"

Not that Ive seen. If I were a betting man, I would say he'll be ok this year, mainly because the type of injury he had typically takes in excess of a year to rehab completely, and longer to get it back to full strength.

I think we'll all be better off assuming his career is over based on little evidence and a half season of playing.

Why would my parents be kissing your cousins?

My thoughts on your suggestions.

1. I'm all in favour in dealing Hemsky for anything.
2. I'd rather deal Smyth and have Jones and Harti as Horcoff's wingers
3. Unless you can give a name of a player that we can actually acquire to replace, I don't see why you'd move him.
4. If your moving Belanger to make room for Pitlick why not just have Pitlick play center?
5. I really don't care who is backup this year as long as Dubnyk gets the majority of the starts.

I just dont see the value in Hemsky. I would say teams would definitely be willing to give up a 2nd round pick. Probably even a first. But I dont see any young players with high upside coming back.

i wouldn't wanna deal jones... he's the type of player that the oil would need to aquire during a playoff race/run

your probably right, or an injury prone player would come back. He needs this year to proove to everone that he can play 75+ games.

Agreed Richard one more year of sub par hockey add Jones or Mckinnon at worse..lol then make a few good signing's and we have a hockey team to be resected again.

This is true. And he also needs to return to being a 0.8PPG player or better.

And play productively. He played 69 games this past season and barely beat third liners Horcoff and Jones in points. Granted they played more games but he still should have gotten more points for a 2nd line player.

No one in Oilers management should be spared if the Oilers manage to finish in the bottom two again.

Jones is not Gritty, he's an off white in a sea of pastels. I seen him get picked on , and when the camera gets on him, he looks like he might cry. I would prefer a little more piss and vinegar in "Gritty players."

yes and now he won't be the main go to guy... he'll be with talented players now. not the likes or Horcoff

Maybe not gritty but he is definetly more physical than most of the team.

he goes to the corners and all his goals are going to the net hard... i don't mean an enforcer he's more a solid bottom 6 checker that know's his role and can play on the pk. Hopefully Eager will play with more of an edge under kruger and i also think hordi will be in for 50 games
