I guess Detroit, Pittsburgh and Nashville all have the same recruitment issues, as they all missed on Suter and Parise as well.

I bet a lot of teams would. I still think a commitment to winning at all costs that is older than one year and no mention of "lake effect" on the morning commute will bring more players to philly.

Weber is not going to be traded anytime soon. Frankly he has little choice as to where he wants to play because he doesn't have a no trade/movement clause in his contract. He has Philly to thank for that. If he wanted out that bad he would have come out publicly and said that or would have sucked it up signed a 1 year deal and became a UFA next season. Why sign any offer sheet if you know your current team can match, the answer is you wouldn't. Won't matter anyway because the Preds are not going to trade someone they paid 27 million to and only get one year out of him. Just another typical uninformed big market hockey blogger casting stones at a small market team that he has no clue about it's new ownership, front office, and fan base.

The Flyers already have a loaded forward unit, they could use a star defensemen though. I wish the Sabres had a group of forwards who are tough, gritty and can score in the playoffs like they have. If you put the Flyers forwards with Buffalos Defense and goalies I think that would be a team with a top 4 chance at cup.
