was the gum usually on the bottom or the top of the pack though?

its been a long time since I opened some old opc, but I think the gum is on the top. The heated wax seal on the back, wouldnt make sense to put gum on the same side

true, but if he were to open the pack from the backside first (which makes sense cause thats where the crease is...the gum would be at the back(which is really the front)...get me?

It would be very interesting to see what that graded pack would sell for at auction.

I guess its pretty rare as the blog says. If I had to guess, 1500-3K ... but who knows..collectibles can surprise and disappoint you.

I guess its pretty rare as the blog says. If I had to guess, 1500-3K ... but who knows..collectibles can surprise and disappoint you.

I wonder if that heated wax seal would have leaked on to the face of the gretzky card over the years. It would depend on the temperatures it's been stored at over it's life time of course.
It's kind of strange that it's in there facing downwards anyways. The bottom of the pack would normally feature the rear of the card facing it. |

i think the gum is on the side where the seal doesnt take place, which is the front of the pack. the back of the pack has the seal. so you open from the back, which leaves the gum at the front.
