Staios should make top 4 on the Leafs this year.

I know someone how had a Gretzky rookie card STILL IN THE WAX PAPER WITH THE GUM INSIDE, NEVER OPENED! You could see that it was bottom card.

He lost it in a house fire for few years ago!

How did he know there was a Gretzky rookie card in it, if it was never opened?

He said that it could be seen from the bottom of the pack. It is a plausible story since you would be able to recognize the back of a gretzky rookie by the stats and the number.

I agree, team d is the answer, not the trap, just solid team d. All guys must buy into a system to be successful. And, if all buy in, then most tenders in the NHL can be successful as well, playing within this type of system.

Perfect one is worth big money - one sold for 94,000
- BingoLady

Most people that have one....have one that is likely not near as nice as this graded example that sold for $600.00
Take a look at the enlarged picture to see how nice and centered that card is. An ungraded version of that same card would be worth about $400

You could see faintly through the wax paper that the #99 card was at the bottom.

I believe there has been much talk of the Carlyle system, I'd like an in depth explanation of his said system for curiosity sake. Thanks.

Pretty much, I have a becket graded opc rookie (6.5) ... I would have a hard time getting $500 for it... to the naked eye it looks to be in great shape. The average person would say its mint and the same as the 94K one ..if they had it.

I have had about a dozen Gretzky rookies over the years... you can find them all day long for 2-$400 ...

The insurance should have covered it...
- Flyfreaky

I believe insurance did cover SOME of the card's value, but he didn't receive anywhere near the card's full value.

They're in pretty good shape...I never had them graded...
- Flyfreaky

If you can't see white on the corners at all and you know they came from (packs and aren't fakes) it's a good idea to get them graded. It will confirm that they are real and increase the value greatly if they get a high grade. Even if they get an average grade it will still be worth more then an ungraded one.
