Problem is Suter & Parise had no desire to come here and Weber did problem is Nashville matched. So his blog has no legs to stand on.
- stveshdy

As well, Holland in Detroit struck out on Parise, Suter & Nash as well, Garth doesn't have the balls to touch on that I guess.

How do we strike out when Nashville matched?

No one else made any offer's or tried to do shi&

Reviewing who Anaheim has in the top 6 already, I'm not sure they would be interested in another young guy for the 7 spot.
- ravishingone

I think they do want another top 6 guy like Read because Selanne and Koivu are likely gone after this season ends.

For Voracek + another player on the NHL roster, I'm not sure I do it.

I agree it's a boost, but we're also making another part of the roster weaker and still have not addressed depth on the wings. Not sure I see it as that significant of an upgrade - I'd stay put.

It depends on what the additional player is, we really don't have a "formidable" top 6 up front, with Briere still centering the 2nd line & Schenn just about ready to take that position, and Read, for as productive as he is, usually gets dumped down to the 3rd or 4th line

Without question. The Flyers are very aggressive and try to put out a team that can compete for the cup every single year. They also are not afraid to open the checkbook. Why wouldn't a player want to come here? That blog makes no sense at all.

Only time I will listen to whats going on in Buffalo is if Tyler Myers becomes available.

I was referring more about their top 6 d-men, but yes I do agree I think they want top 6 forward depth. I would rather the Flyers try to reacquire Sbisa (I know unlikely).

Yeah. I made the switch. Snider was making it rain with all the money being offered but since we didn't land one big fish I had to change our luck.

Here is a newsflash. Flyers will offer Read, MAB or Gus, and a pick for Ryan.
Maybe a prospect such as Cousins.

And Anaheim will take it.

And then I will nominate myself for HB poster of the year.

Dude
put your trophy back, it's not enough, for a 4 time 30 goal scorer still in his mid 20's?
If your Anaheim, would you do it?

Your Sheena Parveen post reference to Garth, may have hit home a little closer to your offer for Ryan.

Mr. Stveshdy sir, good evening.

I will answer the other posters question with an example.

Mr. Warren Buffett converted a declining asset into an increasing asset. And forty years later, you have a top 10 global company.

If life was static and I was an idiot, then I would not do the trade. But if I am the GM for Anaheim, with a festering steamy pile of horse crap as a franchise, the I do the deal.

I risk losing my two stars to UFA. Ryan will be a cancer. During the three remaining years of Ryans contract, the team will suck. And over time, he will become a decreasimg asset.

So I trade for an increasing asset. Read. May score 20-30 himself. MAB could be a nice 5 or 6. A first round pick is huge. Plus Cousins. That is more than fair.

Give me my trophy. I am humble, well groomed, and damnit I deserve it.

Earlier tonight I proposed the same exact trade. Make sure my name gets on that trophy as well.
