Yee Haw!

Enjoy Weber. You got him for 14 years.

If I had to start with a draft of all players, he would be my #1.

Cheers!

Channeling my inner FACT! Flyers CAN'T WIN with this team. They have two brothers and one doesn't even play hockey!

The more and more it seems like Doan will stay in PHX. Which I think is great for the organization. However, if he does leave he will want to go to a team with a great chance to win the cup. NYR. That team will be nasty.

My "One time I was playing I had nothing but open rink in front of me" ends this way...

One time I was playing I had nothing but open rink in front of me during the 2nde period when the puck squirted past their D and I was in alone. I made my move on the goalie, shot, and hit a rut. I tumbled toward the boards, helpless at full speed, and shattered my collarbone. It would have hurt less had the puck gone in.

- Flyskippy

HAHAH skip i would have died watching that. I took a spill monday night (had just gotten my skates sharpened, first night back after the glute tear). I toe picked the ice and was completely out of control and then some dude ran right through me.. My teammates were dying. One says to me "The Russian judge gave you a 6... but thats just because he is Russian"

You'd want him?

i understand the flack that Jay Bouwmeester gets b/c of his SIGNIFICANT dip in offensive production from Florida to Calgary....COMBINED with the fact he's not a physical defenseman for as large as he is.

what people forget is that he's still a GREAT skating and puck moving defenseman...and he's actually GOOD in his end, while not physical. Is he overpaid at 6.8 cap hit, i would say yes at the production he's giving.

but he's not if he's producing 12+ goals and 40+ points (which he did for 3 years straight). the guy can skate 25 minutes a game easy on a top pairing.

if matt carle's getting 5.5 million....6.8 for JBo isn't TOO FAR off....

I agree JBo is not the worst thing that could happen to the Flyers. However, figuring out how to add his cap hit while still keeping other things in check might be. What is your proposal to add him?

it would be via trade, so salary in some form would probably come back from players....but if Calgary fans' indication of how "beloved" he is out West, it wouldn't take much.

Obviously a trade. How would you make the cap hit work? What would you trade the other way?

This is what it would look like if you could pry him away for MAB/Gus +prospects +picks.

Bob Ryab! Screw Hartnell and his down, Flyers need a prophetic goal scorer! Hartnell had 37 FAKE goals which is 0 REAL goals! Ryab and Gir would combine for 100 goals!

With the lack of high-end alternatives being available the next year or two and the fact that there's only two years left on his contract, it's not the worst thing that could happen. All depends on what it would cost in terms of trade, though.
