And overall I played a great game, especially on the forecheck. But that one play/brain fart just ruined my entire night. Immediately went from having a great game to embarrassed and pissed off.

Granted yesterday's ice was beyond terrible, but that's no excuse, everyone was playing on the same ice.

First we sign Leighton who single-handedly lost us the Stanley Cup. Then at the draft they trade future hall of famer Sergei Bob for scrap metal as well as pass up Bobby Ore 2.0, Oliver Mata, and draft a guy with the word "laugh" in his name which must mean he's a joke.

July 1 rolls around and we lose best defenseman in the world Ryan Sutter and former Devil Parise to the North Stars. At least we let that bum Jeff Carle leave because he's god awful. More bad news comes because the Rangers got Rich Nash and we could have gotten him for next to nothing (Couturer, Schen, 2 1st round draft picks!) but Holmger is afraid to get a good player. Give up on the youth movement Holmger! It doesn't work! They lost to the Devils last year!

And to add insult to injury, Shane Webber doesn't sign with us, even after we offered him a MEGA DEAL, because he doesn't like Bryzgolov or Danny Bri. Now all we have left on defense is Lilja and Rathje if he's healthy and that's a big IF.

The only way to salvage this team is to trade Reed, Coborn, Voracheck and a first pick for Bob Ryab. Everybody knows Bob Ryab will score 50 goals a season playing with Gir. Not to mention Gir needs a super elite magnificent goal scorer to play with or else he gets concussions and there is no one more super elite magnificent than Ryab (plus his dad is Bobby Clarke!). He scored so much on and never played with Clode! Wouldn't mind Jay Bowster from the Flames either.

Pull the Trigger Holmger.

Not OP, but there is one way I'd take Jay Bouwmeester: If adding him is the price to get Jarome Iginla.

A deal of something like Iginla and Bouwmeester for Voracek/Lilja/Shelley/Walker/maybe some lesser picks would be fine. Anything more than that, and I don't even consider it. (Even then, I probably work the phones like a boss at the deadline to find someone who'd take him off our hands.)

The Flyers proved how completely inept they were by trading Carter, Williams, Gagney and Richards to the Kings. That the Kings won a cup just proves how horrible Holmger is as a GM.
