I don't like to sit here and bash prospects. I'd rather look at them with optimism...

But feel free to sit in a dark room rocking back and forth waiting for the world to end. Life's too short.

from what i hear he projects as a 4th-line centre with some grit. kinda glad he's not on that list.

Bournival compares a lot to Leblanc, with maybe less offensive potential.

The interesting thing with this list is sort of the evidence that the Habs had a sensational draft this year. I think they ended up getting quality throughout much of the draft.

In the rankings themselves, i'd actually put Kristo higher than Leblanc. Reason being, Leblanc can probably solidify himself as an NHLer but I think Kristo has more potential to be a better impact player. his wheels are sick, especially seeing him live, and he's got some serious hands. I agree with adding strength. I thought Kristo was a pretty slick pick once I saw him play (after the draft that year). I like him a lot.

I'm not sure Kristo goes ahead of Leblanc, but agreed about his offensive potential. I think he could make the jump straight to the NHL next year (2013-2014). He's gonna be wasting his time at UND this year.

For me, Hudon is boom bust. He's got the puck skills and high end IQ to be an impact Top Six player one day, or he'll be a pile of crap. Bournival is much closer, but I think he's a bit safer and projects as more of a bottom sixer. He's creativity is very non-existent, and he doesn't seem all the comfortable controlling the puck. He seems more north-south to me.

I could be entirely wrong though, and I did debate over those two.

When you go by potential Hudon does have a higher one than Bournival, but Bournival is much more of a certain thing to make the show.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him in the NHL as soon as December.

Maybe its just me, but any time I see this kid play he looks like a guy who's more than willing to throw the body and do the dirty work required but offensively, I'm just not sold this kid ever makes his mark in the bigs. I think he's a player to some degree though, but asa borderline callup. I was disappointed he made the WJC team, to be honest. The team, once again, needed some offense and they left off some of major junior top offensive players in Toffoli, McKinnon and even Monahan to put this kid in who, in all honesty, didn't do much of anything in the tourney to prove his place on the team. Maybe he needs time, I don't know, but he's never really impressed me from the point of view I usually take and that is how he translates at the next level.

He didn't play much at the WJC and it wasn't up untill we were losing 5-1 to the russians that he was matched with Gallagher. They gathered momentum and managed to score a few goals to start what could have been an epic comeback.

There weren't many players who could bring his versatily in the canadian ranks, besides maybe Jenner.

He's a guy that Hay turned to.

If you wanted more offence, they could have taken another guy than Pearson, and maybe make Beaulieu play more than 5 minutes a game

Good blog Huddle.

A guy that should be ahead of Hudon/Bozon is Mac Bennett. He's our 3rd best D prospect behind Tinordi and Beaulieu IMO.

i think alot of these rookies may not get a chance to make an impact on the team, they already arent as far off as ppl think

you got a good line that can fool you into thinking they are a REAL 1st line in

Patches-DD-Cole

the 2nd line is almost ready with Galchennyuk going to be the #2 center, he'll prove it quickly enough im sure, and Gionta;'s on that line but there's 1 winger spot with a ? that needs filling, and then Eller fills the 3rd line nicely with whoever (the habs have a few good 3rd liners, Bourque, white to spare....4th line Prust now meaner....whoever etc....

D Subban - Markov (soon to be beaulieu)
Diaz - Emelin
Tinordi - Bouillon

thats what its gonna look like next year, probably without Bouillon....ok maybe 2 years from now whatever thats a very strong team imo i left Turtleneck Tomas out cuz he might be the key to getting a good mystery winger on the 2nd line unfortunately he's a casulaty but it'd be better if Galchenyuk was a winger then Plecs could just center that line....i wonder if he would wanna adjust....that line would probably become the 1st line....but otherwise....unless they could get a good deal for DD and Cole combo trade no matter what it always seems like Plecs has gotta be traded, if you aint gonna give him any wingers anyways....
