Maybe its just me, but any time I see this kid play he looks like a guy who's more than willing to throw the body and do the dirty work required but offensively, I'm just not sold this kid ever makes his mark in the bigs. I think he's a player to some degree though, but asa borderline callup. I was disappointed he made the WJC team, to be honest. The team, once again, needed some offense and they left off some of major junior top offensive players in Toffoli, McKinnon and even Monahan to put this kid in who, in all honesty, didn't do much of anything in the tourney to prove his place on the team. Maybe he needs time, I don't know, but he's never really impressed me from the point of view I usually take and that is how he translates at the next level.

All I want is for Toronto and Montreal to hate eachother in the playoffs... no more battle for 3rd overall pick.

Couldn't agree more. Leafs really should trade the guy while another team still believes in the "hype".

Like I've always maintained with him-- NHL skill, 12 year old body. Decent 2nd line 50 pt guy. Not the guy Leafs wanted unfortunately. I'd move him if I could upgrade as well.

I think Gary Roberts can put him on the right track and likely put him in the NHL next year. But I don't believe in the miracle cure, no.


Though if I were a GM i'd hand Roberts a blank cheque to work with my prospects.

He may not be the flashiest prospect but I'd still consider him in the Habs top 10 because he will probably make the NHL as a bottom 6 grinder while a guy like Hudon is a very long shot..... if I had to compare Bournival to someone I'd say Maxim Lapierre without the dirtbag attitude and more leadership.
