Klefbom isn't an offensive dman
- Ihatebrianburke

well, I assumed hockeyfuture was right on that one:

http://www.hockeysfuture..../prospects/oscar_klefbom/

"Klefbom is a raw, tantalizing talent. He has great size for a rearguard, is an excellent skater, and has tremendous natural offensive instincts. This combination of size, speed, and skill had scouts salivating over him in the 2011 draft, and many in the Oilers organization are enthused about what he could potentially become. He has work to do on his positioning, his defensive play, and generally on the finer aspects of the game, and will be given every opportunity to develop those abilities."

And usually, when you label a dman as a future "star", it's because you think he can bring good offensive skills to the table.

Hard to tell from SEL numbers anyways, since that league doesn't exactly put a premium on offence.

I hate the wimpy stance you and others take on RFA's and offer sheets. You don't want to do it so you don't piss off other teams? Who cares? It's in the rules. If teams are going to not do it because they think other teams would be mad at them, well, then they should take it out of the rulebook. As long as it's there, teams shouldn't be afraid to use it. There might be reasonable arguments not to offer sheet Benn (money, compensation picks, etc.), but being scared of how other teams think of you is the stupidest reason ever.
