Some people love the movie and say it is the best ever, quite a few say the trilogy (Nolan) is way overrated, You will always have that, personally, I think Bale is the 2nd worst Batman of the franchise, can't stand him. - LeafMan
Late to game...although I do agree on Bale....this trilogy is by far the greatest comic book movies ever made (heck they're pretty sweet films overall)....and I loved the first one with Jack. The only other comic book movies that could even compare would be the first two Xmen and first The Crow. |

I love the trilogy and Bale (They really limited an amazing actor), but it isn't the best trilogy or even close because the first one quite frankly was pretty meh. I mean it sticks out like a sore thumb. |

But...I think...the role of enforcer is becoming obsolete so there will be more players like Brown fighting in the league and less like Orr.
Please be advised: This is only an opinion. - stormey
The faceoff dot fights are useless and hopefully gone from the game but the enforcers/peacemakers that can play and protect the top end guys are still critical IMHO.
A guy like Chris Neil is probably the perfect example. I love Mike Brown but god I wish he was just a little bigger. |

As a reboot in a darker tone...it was pretty darn good imo. |

I like what they did with Iron Man, and the Avengers.
I also liked X-Men First Class.
And was big on the Watchmen |

Neil usually fights smaller guys and is more of a shift disturber than enforcer. I doubt there is a bottom 6 player in the league who is afraid of Neil. |

lol.. i know.. but my point is carlyle is going to try to make this team grittier (as per burke and carlyle) and that usually gets coupled with more fighting.. because frankly.. you agitate the opposition.. and there are guys out there that would tune brown in good - Dozzer
Some grit might be added by way of Carlyle's approach and trying to refocus certain players, but I think that more personnel changes are going to be needed.
Burke originally stated that HE WANTED "truculence, belligerence, testosterone etc etc etc," but built a team around Wilson's "off-the-rush" approach with speed being the #1 focus. Now that a hard-nosed defensive coach who likes more grit/toughness has been brought in, not all those same players that were brought in for Wilson's system(s) can be instantly converted into grittier defensive minded players (with speed!)
Knowing this, I think Burke has kinda dropped the ball so far this summer by being a little too passive/conservative, because losing grit in the Schenn/JvR trade and only adding McClement and Aucoin simply isn't enough to improve the team this area.

like I said, some people love the Nolan trilogy and I'm not going to say they are wrong for their opinion, different tastes on the lead actors plays a big role in liking or loving these types of movies. I happen to despise Bale as Batman. |
