You sound just like Darcy. Every single season Darcy says "I'm looking at any deal that can improve the hockey club" then when he does very little or picks up some bum at the deadline named Corkum or Boyes he claims "No trades are out there"

It's been 5 years in a row Darcy claims "No trades are out there" then all of a sudden we see guys like Mike Richards traded and many other players that are impact guys.

Darcy can't make deals because he over values his players, he rather let guys walk for nothing at the end of their contracts with nothing in return. "No trades are out there" for Darcy because GMs are not talking to him because they know he is crazy.

Darcy is like that old farmer down the road who has a 1969 Pontiac GTO in his back yard and instead of selling it for a decent price he rather let it rot and have a tree growing through the trunk. He has to completely rip off the guy or no deal.

If you've seen some of the proposed trades on here you'll agree that Darcy isn't the only one that overvalues Sabre players.

So, if Anaheim truly wants to move Ryan, and there is competition to trade for him, would you trade Gerbe and/or Ennis?

Of course. The question would be what else would you have to include to secure a proven player. Neither Gerbe or Ennis is untouchable and neither is enough to bring us what we want.

Hell, Gerbe standing on Ennis's shoulders is barely taller than Nash!

Kevin, you make trades to improve your hockey club. Getting Bobby Ryan makes us better so if it costs moving guys like Ennis and/or Gerbe, you do it.

I'll never understand the people who think Ennis is untouchable in a trade for a guy like Bobby Ryan.

Waits for the Bobby scored 30 plus in 4 straight yrs because of Perry and Getzlaf comments.

Give it time. It will either be that or "The Nash deal lowered the market for Bobby Ryan" even though they have nothing to do with one another.

Corkum scored more goals in a season than Leino or Connolly ever did.

well...he did break 20 once but, to be fair, his 2nd highest total was 12

Do you think Vanek could score more goals with a "true" number 1 center?

I would trade Gerbe in a second, but we can't trade another center for another winger. Ennis can't go in a trade for Ryan.

Problem is, Buffalo's in a delicate situation talent wise. If they move a center for a winger then we're low on centers and visa versa. And most said Stafford+Ennis and that's to much for my taste. I still think Ennis has a huge upside as far as scoring. Plus we can't afford to lose one of the two decent centers we have. So Ennis in a Ryan trade is useless. It would have to be a package like Stafford, Sekera, prospect (Adam?) and a first.

Im hoping the LA Kings' Brandon Kozun and/or Jordan Weal are able to make the team in the next couple of years....Basically turn out to be a Gerbe

2 of LA Kings smallest prospects.

If Anaheim needed D. Problem is they want offense back and Buffalo would have to give more then Stastney's worth

I wish Gerbe a speedy recovery, as he had back surgery yesterday. He herninated a disk in his back during the course of the season. Lindy refered to it as an "upper body injury", but it did not heal as the team had hoped. Get better soon # 42 !

Well yeah you make a good point, but when you break it down its not that sensible

Ryan averages around 63 pts/season and its not overly far fetched to think that ennis can average 60 pts a season for a string of years. Hes got a lot of talent and is just undersized

I bet enzo ends up somewhere in the 54-59 pt range this year and only improves here on out

AKA its not worth: ennis, pysyk, 2nd for bobby ryan (the proposed deal we shut down)

But at the end of the day, I really dont care anymore im sick of all the trade talk I just want them to drop the puck already
