i don't see how that even qualifies as a mom joke.

taking it in the ass, is taking it in the ass, under any circumstances you dolt. admitting you take it BIG doesn't help anything.

really? being a sour female dog doesn't make that any less pathetic.

pretty much it would have been weber for 3 picks+schenn or couts but flyers fans said they wouldnt trade either of them anyway even if it wasnt for the picks

Preds lost $7MM last year. You're talking about a $20MM-$30MM loss this year whether they play hockey this year or not. Then $10-$15MM for 3 years after that. That's without signing the UFA's and RFA's they have coming due. This is the problem when you locate a hockey franchise in an area that will never have an interest in hockey.
- JJBraccili

I have a feeling the financial implications of keeping Weber were discussed over the last week. Why do you think they would do this if they thought it would cripple them to the point of having to be relocated? Wouldn't they make a trade or take the draft picks instead?

That's crazy, especially with the depth the Flyers have up front.

Shocking news, but honestly, the Preds had to do this move. I'm glad they did.

[quote=MeLLo]They definitely have an interest & good fan base - the problem is the franchise lost money every year but one (last year they lost 7mil). Now they're going to lose a historical amount of cash this year with Weber & the lockout. They signed Weber to make a statement they wouldn't be stomped on, but it could destroy them financially. The best thing they could have done was trade Weber + Suter a year ago for 2 or 3 A+ prospects each. They're playing with fire in

Why do people worry about billionaires using spare change to force the outcome they wanted. People did not understand the minute that Poile froze Holmgren you knew they controlled game.

If Flyers are desperate for D and offered Subban a 10 yr $60,268,175 contract, would Habs match or take the 1st, 2nd and 3rd?

Was there a no trade no move somewhere in this offer sheet from Philly or do they not apply on an offer sheet?

Wow! Honestly didn't think they would match the offer. Good for them, although we'll have to see how it plays out the next several years.

No "no-trade", however, it can be added to the deal.

You dont become a billionaire by losing millions of dollars each year like clockwork on the same investment.

You know ownership had to dump 60mil into the franchise a few years back to keep it stable & got 38 mil from the city of Nashville. They continue to lose money (7mil down last year).

This was a ballsy move, but financially it could be disastrous for a franchise that was already struggling operating in the red.

Dear Quebec City,

You now you have 2 potential suitors and 1 has the best defenseman in the NHL for the next 14 years! Although by the time they move there will probably be about 12 years left on his contract, anyway you're welcome.

You know my feelings about Bryz...Bobby Orr isn't gonna stop all the Clarkson goals in the world...One more throw-away season with that clown then they can dump him and try again...

you did sound butt hurt, dumbass.

confirming that i was right, and you are in fact butt hurt, doesn't really change a whole lot. you can call it "being logical" if it somehow validates it in your world.
