No chance....he is too strong and tough, and also plays the game with too much integrity. Not a good fit. - The-O-G

Exactly!!! Good catch. But seriously.... WE'LL OFFER SHEET HIM, WE'LL DO IT!!!!
Benn would be at the top of my list for CGY to OS; definitly worth giving up the 1st rounder but I would rather a trade to satisfy both sides which is more Feaster's method. |

In general offer sheets have ben rare, but with the Shea Weber signing and the obvious CBA uncertainty, there have been quite a few recently...
umm... hasn't there been just the one to Weber? |

Why have so many ppl made a fuss about Weber signing the Philly offer sheet? Unless I'm mistaken, Weber had to per the rules of the CBA. - All Blues
No one HAS to sign anything. He did it becasue he wanted to. No one forced him. |

Calgary would be a good fit. Young forward with a good shot. You don't have a bevy of young forwards as it is. I say do it. Don't let any of the powerhouse teams go after him. |

1st- CGY trades Stajan, Babchuk to MTL for Gomez and reaquire our 2nd round pick
2nd- CGY offer sheets Benn with a heavily front loaded 12yr. contract avg. 6.1mil with something like a 12mil signing bonus (just to remain under the limit for that compensation group, 1st, 2nd, 3rd.)
Edit: you beat me to it Whipper |

I thought the same thing. When a player is restricted, they have to respond to contract offers in which the team offering has already put forth the compensatory picks. Correct me if I'm wrong. - All Blues
Wrong.
The player has the choice to sign an offer sheet or not. Just because a team wants an RFA and put an offer sheet to their agent, its up to the player to agree to sign it or not! |

Cause Wideman to 5 years 26 mil and Hudler to 4 years 16 mil are good deals right? |

Well... Toronto, and Edmonton are out.
And Vancouver is too close to the cap.
I'm thinking Winnipeg!!!
They are about to get an offer sheet on Kane... so why not do the same to another team!!! - jimmc7722
Why is Toronto out?
I wouldn't think the Oilers are in on this or the Canucks...
Even if the Flames offered him something, he wouldn't sign to go there...
My money would be on Sens or Habs...
Although I would LOVE him in blue & white... |
