Ya I get that. But no one is forcing you to blog either. You know the perimeters around the position.
Its the internet, you are gonna come across some jerk posters, refs and bloggers. Just ignore them and move on. Anytime anyone blogs about the leafs, you are going to have your delusional blue koolaid posters, haters, the reality leaf fan(s), the kiss asses, the trolls and then your randoms.
Dont know why people get so sensitive.

That's one thing... but when you get messages, tweets, comments that are personal insults towards myself, my fiancee, or anything else, I do have a line. Am I forced to blog? Yea, I am. I have a wedding to pay for, so any and all money helps.

I understand that this is the internet, but there has to be some order and rules.

I think Sproul in the 2nd rd was a steal by DET. They draft well year after year.
- JVR2112

I was quite high on him and thought he might go low first. Great pickup by them. Reminds me a bit of Cody Franson. Big, not physical. Booming shot, and good offensive instincts, with a veeeeery raw defensive game.

Have seem him play, not live, just vid. Knew he was on TO's radar last year, but he returned for another year. He's small and weak and very perimeter. He has a tough uphill battle, but has some skill and upside. Do I think he'll be much? Probably not.

But it's worth the gamble for the next two years.

- Brian Huddle

At least for one year that is all he is signed for. During the games he played in the playoffs he was very feisty and went to the net, don't think he will amount to much though.

the general rule is 50 nhl games.. so kadri is right there.. he has to make the jump this year

as for the jackass comment you said someone else's comment was dumb.. that kind of crap will not be tolerated any longer.

post with respect to other posters

- Dozzer

Two wrongs dont make a right.

So dumb is not allowed? I've seen people get away with a lot worse. I guess it all depends on the poster around these parts.
He has 143 pro hockey games under his belt...almost 2 seasons worth. He's a rookie...but not a prospect.

Is it one year? I can't remember half the time with these NCAA kids.

Decent showing in the playoffs in limited games. I totally forgot that I have seen him live for the Marlies... keep forgetting he suited up. My memory blows.

Why are you getting married on a bloggers salary? maybe wait until you get promoted to editor or something. Is there a rush to get married?

Yes they signed him for one year but they also signed him to an ATO contract so he could play for the Marlies the rest of last year and not burn the one year.

no, dumb is not allowed..

i think calling someone or their opinion dumb is right up there and it flies in the face of CoC Rule 6

that being said.. i agree with you on Kadri.. I would call him a pro who is still developing, which, some would say is definition enough to call him a prospect.

as I said, the general rule is supposedly 50 NHL games, Kadri has 51.

Scrivens I would still label a prospect tho.. he only just this year came into his own

Hey Huddle.

What do you think makes the most sense in the hypothetical situation where Galchenyuk would make the team next year :

Turn Eller into a winger to slot him on the 2nd line with Plek and Gionta to give Gally the 3rd line center duty...

OR

Have Gally play at the wing next to Eller on the 3rd line for a year or two (untill a spot clears up at center).

Eller has shown that he's uncomfortable at wing and it's been said that Galchenyuk can play both wings and center but putting Gally on the wing means he's not going to be playing as the prophetised "BIG CENTER" untill a spot at that position clears up.

This is, of course, implying that the roster doesnt change and we have Plekanec/Desharnais/Eller up the middle come next season.

Ah yes, the personal insults and tweet towards you and the fiance are not classy granted. I completely understand were you are coming from with that. But we live in world of rare consequences, anyone who opinion blogs or makes available personal contact info (twitter, facebook, email etc) opens themselves up to that. Not saying it is right or should be acceptable, but its the beast we've created, you know?
Reacting to them and getting upset over them, only encourages them more.
Speaking of Franson, has he resigned yet, anyone know?

Dont get too lost in the wedding world, alot people overspend on so much crap that is simply not needed. Limits!!!!!!

Screw the family's, they don't respect the wedding anyways, save up your money for a nice trip somewhere and get married there, then rent a hall when you get back so the families can get drunk in.

Huddle said he hated leafs threads and wanted this to be a prospects and college players thread. Galchenyuk is definitely a prospect.

THIS IS A LEGITIMATE QUESTION!!!!

I'm pretty down on him these days. Development stalled this year. He could have gone to the AHL to progress more, but the CHL transfer agreement blocks that.

Wish I knew a bit more about Montreal. That being said I know a bit about Gally-- and if he's gonna play, play him at center. The quicker he learns his duties both offensively and defensively, the better.

Haha. We have money put away for the honeymoon already. I just have a very traditional family who wants us to be married in a church (they don't drink alcohol either), so we're trying to make everyone happy.

Plus it's her day, and she wants the traditional wedding.

yeah.. its a bit surprising

interesting fact..

the last marlie (then they were the baby leafs) goalie who took them the calder cup final made the jump to the NHL the following year and had the leafs within one win of the stanley cup final
