I wish they would bury him, but i don't see it happening right now.
They are going to give him another chance to prove he can play under a new coach and managment team and they are going to try and spin it into a positive.
If Gomez does not give atleast a half assed effort this season and he is as terrible as he was last year then he will be waived and sent down.
But if he does give an effort and he looks like he cares again, he could be flipped for whatever at the deadline.
I think Gomez will start and have a 5 game try out unless MB gets an opportunity at top 6 FW. Bourque is staying for good for at least one full season IMO. Kaberle still has some value I think if you can trade him for like a 6th sometime after the season starts.
And I agree that this is pretty much the team for the season. I'm pretty sure what they want now is to see which young kid can step up during the camp and play. I want to see Galagher again!

Dear Marty.
If the team in not up against the ceiling next year and Gomez is your third best Center why would the team not play him? They are going to pay him anyway and with only PK left to sign and 7 mill in cap space, I think they'll be fine, cap wise.
