Every year Flyers don't have prospect except when they got JVR and Schenn/Couturier.
- NOAH_U

We don't seem to have a lot of patience for our young guys. Either that or we bring them up right away. Couturier last year. Also trade a ton of picks.

He really impressed at the Pens rookie camp. Many viewed him as better then Beau Bennett. I can't say much though I've only seen Marcantuoni on TV. Perhaps dropping like a rock in the draft or the future promise of maybe being on Crosbys wing has motivated him.
- Ben37

Yea, he needs motivation. He's got the skill to get things back on track, just needs to stay healthy longer than two weeks.

Wow, Philly is last? We may want to keep some of those picks away from Nashville. Not much love for Cousins or Laughton?
- fnmjoe13

Anyone who knows me loves I know Laughton and Cousins But both are likely Bottom Six types.

Phili always has a bottom end system, and yet pump out players like nobody's business. It defies all logic.

NHL skill, 12 year old boy's body. If he can ever get the strength to do what he wants to do with the puck, he'll be hell of a player. Until then...

Heck of a find by Columbus. One of the few who seems to be able to get by as a tiny man.

Thanks,I know Howson takes alot of heat for the decisions he takes especially in drafting but I consider Atkinson and Calvert his two late round wild cards.

I am curious about anyone else in the pipeline that you may consider NHL worthy. Are you going to follow this up with top prospects for each team.

Toronto seems really high, then again they draft player types that you like. Is that why they are at 11?

The back end prospects of Rielly, Finn, Blacker, Percy along with a lot of Top Nine upside depth, and the fact that I still believe Kadri and Colborne are good prospects. It's a slightly above average system, all things considered.

And they do have a decent stable in net with Scrivens, Owuya, Sparks and Rynnas.

Schroeder's development starting to come around, a lot of sleepers in their like Friesen, Labate, orrado, etc.

Just a good development course.

Adding Gaunce helps as well. Think he's better than where he was picked.

No prob. Keep in mind with Biggs, I expect one of those careers where numbers jump around a lot. He's an opportunistic scorer, who cashes in on loose change and such. One year he'll score 10/12 and people will be down on him, the next he roars back with a 20 goal campaign type thing.

I'm sticking to that as my assessment of him, so far.

- Brian Huddle

So he'll probably end up being a real good third liner then? With the ability to play up if there's an injury?

I think his game is more suited to playing with two skilled guys, and complimenting them. I don't think his game is best suited to checking.

EDIT: Similar to Mike Knuble.

So becoming the next Dustin brown like some said when he was drafted is probably out of the question?

Hah, similar characteristics, but Brown can create offense. I really like the Mike Knuble comparison for Biggs... both are essentially guys who aren't high end offensive players but compliment a top line or second line and cash in with a couple goals a year.

Dustin Penner's up-and-down because of his effort levels and terrible shape, haha. Biggs is a character kid, who's fitness is pretty unreal.

He's just that player who doesn't create offense, and cashes in on his linemates. Kulemin is similar that way-- an opportunistic scorer.

I give up. Guess right now he is, since Gerbe is an NHLer. But I like Kadri's upside more, a lot more.
