That's useless scraps for Nash, lookout for the Rangers.

I hope Darcy is on the phone with the Ducks because if Ryan is going to be traded, it's going to be for a bargain.

- Punch70

I wouldnt say useless but what was originally reported was Dubinski, MDZ, Kreider and a 1st.

They got Duby a 1st and lesser versions of the other 2.

So, to review, as per @DarrenDreger, it's Anisimov. Dubinsky, Erixon and a 1st rd pick to CBJ for Rick Nash.

The Rangers also receive a 2013 3rd round pick and a minor league defenseman.

RT @Aportzline: #CBJ also sending 3rd pick and minor-league defenseman to #NYR in Nash trade. Told defenseman is not David Savard.

Unless there is proof and not from HockeyyInsiderr i wont believe it. Last I heard Pavelski and Clowe were almost untouchable. More Pavelski.

because they got one guy?

The received a 40 goal man in return for 2 15-20 goal guys and a future top-2 defenseman.

I think the deal is fair.

- Powerslave

The guys the Rangers gave up are very replaceable, and Erixon is not a future top two defense man at least not with the Rangers. Players like Nash don't grow on trees, he actually has players to play with now. The Rangers were the best team in the east before, they didn't give up any of their current good roster players, they will be a lot better, they had trouble putting the puck in the net last year. I don't see that as a problem for them now.

That is way worse than the trade, and the trade isnt great. What exactly is Craig Patrick's role with the Blue Jackets?

Who has Nash played with there? I'm surprised he put up those points on that team. He will easily put up 70-80 points on a line with Richards and Gaborik. CBJ got taken. There is no discussion on that. If you think that's a decent return for Nash you are sadly mistaken.

C-Bus got a decent return

The Vanek/Nash comparisons always get pretty heated and varied around here. So, with that, Sabres fans, if C-Bus had considered Vanek on par with Nash, would you have been happy with this return for Vanek?

He came down so far from what he was originally asking. + he gave up more with Nash for it.

Does Cbus have a draft next year at all? What did they give up for Bob again?

This reminds me of the Hasek trade, where Hasek basically told the Sabres not to take anything from Detroit that would lessen their chances as a contender.

Rangers traded players they didn't even want. I can't believe this was dragged out this long. I actually feel bad for Columbus. Rangers stole Nash. F*ck, good for them for them. Now lets get this sh*t moving!!
