if they made him, meaning the sabres, that 7 mil per for 3 or 4 years then I would say the offer is off the table at the end of the week

I disagree. He really does fit a lot of our needs. Full court press until he signs somewhere. It's not like there is a plan B out there.

What I mean is, some may think that the Sabres will go for Bobby Ryan or Rick Nash if they lose out on Doan. Nash doesn't seem like a realistic option, so don't put Bobby Ryan on hold. Go get him. Then keep pushing for Doan. It won't happen, but if they somehow end up with both and go over the cap there is plenty of time to figure out the financials.

This is true. I'll entrust the Buffalo crowd on the wing debate.

The best part is how it really is 'tourism' when someone from NYC/LI area heads up there. A different world, truly. Father's side of the family is all from Upstate NY.

Anchor Bar wings are overrated. They are very good, but they are not elite. Sure they have won a few individual trophies, but they don't come through in the clutch when it matters.

Last time I had family in town I tried to talk them out of the Anchor Bar but they wanted to visit "the original". Good, not great is about it.

You lose style points for over-generalization. Ever have Pizza Hut wings? Dominos? A rubbery tasteless mess.

Dive bar wings win. To generalize, the more bikes parked out front, the better the wings. Possibly because the grease in the fryer is older than most of the posters on here

Pizza Hut employees used to call and order wings from the shop I worked at because theirs suck so bad (they bake them).

if everything goes right, maybe we could win the division and get bounced from the flyers, rangers or pens in the first round but reality is the D is ok, the goaltending is inconsistent, the pp is blah and the team can't score 5 on 5
