Mellon arena was barely a step up from where the Islanders play. I was there the night they announced Pittsburgh was getting their new arena and staying in Pittsburgh.

The only problem I had with Mellon Arena was that I have no idea how in God's name they could call those balconies safe.

That was where I sat. Having to walk up what felt like a million flights of stairs was awful. Then, I had to walk down about a million to get to the ladies room, which had all of 3, yes 3, stalls in it.

EDIT: Not to mention the railings that were in front of every row of seats. I'm only 5'7" and they were digging into my knees the whole game. Worst design ever.

I always seem to get the guys who feel the need to sit with their legs spread about 6 feet apart for some reason. They're pretty much sitting in my seat and theirs. Annoying as hell.

I realize that it's probably an inconvenience for them as well, but it annoys me to no end.

YES. I always get that guy! I was next to this fat sweaty guy doing that at the homerun derby this year.

I usually don't on a plane, unless it's a kid, or the seat behind me is vacant. Most of the time it takes me about 3 minutes to fall asleep anyway, and I'm one of those people who can sleep anywhere, so sitting up is no big deal.

ohhhhhhh I have a field day with them people...

I will punch the back of their seat on "accident".. or I will continuously push forward on their seat so it is where it should be...

I'm so jealous of people like you! I can't sleep AT ALL on planes. In my 10+ trips back to England, all I ever wanted to do is sleep the whole time...and couldn't
