I agree that Stasnty is not the move that everyone wants.. but it would be a move that would easily make our team better.

I think Stastny would make Vanek a solid 35+ goal scorer and could also allow Pommer to be a 30/40 type scorer as well.

Stastny is a GREAT faceoff guy in the NHL.. he can play the PK, he has good size, he is 26 years old, and has a very solid 2 way game....

I know that Colorado wants a scoring winger and their dream is a top D pairing to go with E. Johnson but I don't think we can give them anyone that high. They have already had Leopold in Colorado as well and let him walk.

I think the deal starts with Stafford and Pysyk.

your way overrating Stastny ...... he had 1 good year (his rookie year) and had 2 ok years with injury problems. He also gets paid 6 million a year!

So basically hes derek Roy without the issues / higher cap hit!

So then you look at O'Rielly: Well the Sabres literally drafted the same kind of player in Girgensons and hes probly 1 year away from being on the Sabres ( i think thats safe to say) So why give away assets for the same type of player you already have in your system and is close to NHL ready??

Duchene: his name (not just garth) has been tossed around. Personally i think he can be a number 1 center on this team and has great upside. The Cost though might be a killer .....plus the sabres and us fans have NO clue how hodgson will pan out this year!
