Poile to fix Calg.
- poisondhearts37

I would love this. Of course, I doubt he'd take on a rebuild (whenever we get around to that)

He lost Suter for nothing & left Weber unprotected & could now lose him for 4 late firsts b/c his team can't afford to match a contract with a "poison pill".
- MeLLo

Yeah, it's possible he screwed up the Weber situation - probably should have traded him if they can't match. But up until now, he's done an amazing job considering the limitations there.

Suter wasn't really his fault, he seriously considered re-signing.

Good point...I forgot about the new CBA...Well, then Howson has to move him now or keep him...

Nash for Dubinsky and Anisimov. Then the Rangers sign Doan.
God, I'd love if that happened.

His problem, that I've discovered, is he can't handle the pressure of playing for a team like Philly...He's one of those small market team players...He'll never be good in Philly...
- Flyfreaky

That may be true but I dunno you can say that based on one year sample size. If it happens again then I'd agree. I think he had no idea what he got himself into, and was overwhelmed, but there's no reason after just a year he can't learn from that and be prepared. Again not talking vezina caliber but if he's somewhere between the atrocious side and the 4 straight shutout side we can manage

Well, I have no choice as Homer said he's gonna give him another chance...I'd rather be the one eating my words and apologizing than to see a repeat of last season...

I really want to know what team offered that ludicrous 4 year/7.5M cap hit deal.

I figured it was the Leafs or some other crappy team or else he probably would've taken it.

That would be the point of trading players to Nashville for the picks back. However, I see it as an unlikely scenario that Philly lands both

I hope Nashville just matches it and leaves Philly without doan too then they would over pay for Ryan or whoever because we all know they will be making more trades
