Yeah he's a great guy. Him and Cal are. As I said seems to like it there. Offer heet Carlson and trade Edler, Raymond and a 1st for Duchense. They need a d man like Edler.

I think he's decent with Tanev.I think AV dont use him well.

Thats still a million less... and its TWO players compared to ONE.. so on top of that you need to spend more money to get another Dman.. unless you want the bottom 2 defense making less than a million each. Besides... trading Lu would free up enough cap space to afford him if we wanted to anyways. But I wouldn't.. the guy is a pissy prima donna... I dont want him near this team.

I like Ballard... I think he is going to surprise people this year.. especially since he is most likely going to play his natural side.

As for the potential offer sheets, I think you're on the right track. I think the best fit for Vancouver includes Kulikov, O'Reilly, Wilson, and Machacek.

I have no issue with offer sheets. Every team has a full year to negotiate with their players before they become RFA. If you can't get a deal done it is your own fault. I know people don't want to overpay, but I think you pay more once you are past July 1. I think teams should try and sign guys around all star break and not wait to let other teams overpriced signings jack the price up for your own guys. I also think if you offer sheet someone, if I was the other team I would be offer sheeting back (VAN Backes / STL Bernier - well played STL)

I think if he played decent stretches, I would be ok . I have seen more bad from him than good .I know injuries and playing the wrong side have hurt his play but still need to see the good .AV does have a way of ruining careers though

Edler, our best d-man, should settle and extend for Garrison money.

Then we should sign Carlson or Del Zotto for $6 million per (Even though both provide what we already have... D by committee... Neither are even close to being big minute legit #1's...).

He's not a bad player, but, the Canucks are not getting good value out of his $4.2 million dollar salary on the third pairing. He'll continue to be behind Hamhuis and Edler (left side) on the depth charts and waste valuable cap space.
