Edit: well actually if he's been convicted he gets as many calls as his inmate account can afford. It is Sunday and he might have traded some buglers and honeybuns to someone that could have randown to the visit hall and had their people put money on his account.

Agreed, there is no rush for the deal to be announed any sooner. I think if the Preds could match, they probably would have by now. I don't believe there is this vendetta to let the Flyers twist in the wind. If they don't match and get players and draft picks, the PR spin will be Poile negotiated the best deal he could for the franchise and also respecting Weber's desires to want to play for the Flyers.

i just can't see homer tease his fanbase this badly or dis his good friend like this. i think his friendship with poile will stay in tact and the flyers will get weber for a reasonable price assets wise

Weber had to get paid this year because of the looming CBA changes. With the contracts Suter and Parise signed, you would have to believe Weber even in a restricted market could get better. There is no way his agent in his right mind wouldn't try and sell Weber's services like he was an UFA. Who better to arrange an offer sheet then the team who has no fear with offer sheets. I think Poile was smart enough to know Weber wasn't long for Nashville after the Suter debacle and the inability to sign Weber long-term last year with the looming CBA issues.

I dont see it tho, If that was the case the Schenn bros would of been traded. I really think Homer has no plans to give them up, hence the offer sheet.

I agree, the preds get the Schenn Bros and 2#1s...thus 4 first rounders. I think it will be the Schenn Bros and a first and second since Homer wants the best deal
