Doan sounds like he's covering his bases. The only way I don't see signing him as possible is if Nashville just takes the picks... which I think is the LEAST likely of scenarios.

I appreciated Carcillo and thought Lavy did a lot for his career giving him time on the top line with Gagne & Richards. I'm glad that this bitter guy ain't on the Flyers, just like I was glad when that tough guy who was playing with an edge and making room in the tough areas in the playoffs was on our side. I think in the end, having everything you say be recorded to be used against you is akin to having 6 million spouses reminding you of that dumb thing you did.... we should all just let this go.

the flyers forced the preds into a questionable business decision given their finances, i never expected nashville to match. i also don't think holmgren would have gone as far as to sign shea to an offer sheet without very good assurance he would get his man. no matter what anyone says we still have to wait a little over 3 days to know for sure.

You have to believe Weber's agent gave Homer the Preds best contract offer he received before crafting the offer sheet. An agent's job is to get the best deal for his client, I think it would make sense for him to give the Flyers that information.
