Of course the statements can be interpreted as such but they are also very vague statements about Webers position with staying with the Nashville franchise. Nothing to specifically say Weber signed the deal because he wants out. I agree with your interpretation but I can't say its absolute proof until Weber or his agent make a firm statement about wanting out of Nashville. - Baxter27
i just think there to classy to show Nashville like that...Even Dreger has stated that "Weber has made it clear he wants out of Nashville"...Is Dreger the end all and be all...No but I trust his interpretation over many others |

I agree I just don't know why if Homer wasn't willing to trade B Schenn before the OS. Why would he change mind now? - nonpoint22
It was reported he wasn't willing to deal Couturier and Schenn in the same deal. I think for a player like Weber Schenn would be available. However I would not deal Couturier, he and Giroux would be my only untouchables in a trade for Weber. The Schenns + Coburn are players I'd hate to see dealt but would be ok with if Weber was the return. Not in the same deal of course. |

I could be wrong but I thought the Bobby Ryan discussions stop because they wanted Schenn and were told it was a non starter |

Or, in the immortal words of Jim Cornette (doing commentary on a match between Lex Luger and Dusty Rhodes), "the insensible force meets the illiterate object." |

In my mind, this is no longer two teams talking and trying to come to a compromise, and making a deal. It is now the Flyers with the leverage, and if Nashville feels they need to make a trade. Rather then matching, or not matching and taking the picks. Then I don't think you give them the return that they would expect in a deal that didn't involve an Offer Sheet. B Schenn and Couturier would both be on the unavailable list.

We drank cheap champagne after the Flyers beat Buffalo. We all were really hung over the next day. Little did I know it would be my last Cup victory headache. I'm not as optimistic as some with the team's cup chances as it is currently constituted. Weber would be a difference maker on the Flyers, never mind he's never won a cup. |

Yea he's doubling down for sure...........certainly staking that impeccable reputation on this call.......Both schenns and 2 firsts was the offer from Poile, Homer said nada, Poile sounded mad.....

I absolutely would not trade Brayden Schenn in this deal. I don't think a fair deal should be the goal here. Nashville in a poor spot. I would trade Voracek and Luke Schenn. But I'm not including B Schenn or Couturier. - MJL
I thought it was pretty clear that holly won't include either b Schenn or Couts? |

I read that Holmgren would not agree to giving up both B Schenn and Couturier. I don't know if he was willing to include one of them in the deal.
