Just crunched the numbers again for the Flyers Off Season Cap figure. With Pronger, Weber's Cap hit, and re-signing Voracek for 4M. Using all the Off Season rules for calculating the Off Season Cap. The Flyers Off Season Cap figure would be $76,082,152. Which is below the 10% exemption of $77,020,000


So I stand by my opinion, that the Flyers can sign Weber and re-sign Voracek without making a deal.

Well, it's certainly an option for him to consider. The Flyers in adding Weber would also be better defensively, and let's not forget, Weber had 19 goals last year. He'd make up some of the offense and also get shots through which might increase the totals of others.

That's a good point. I'm worried more about teams focusing so much on the G line because the other lines are not serious scoring threats.

It's not looking in a small bubble. Looking at this upcoming Season's forward depth is totally relevant. This upcoming Season is as important as any future Season. I think everyone is fully aware of what adding a defenseman of Weber's caliber does for the team going forward.
