It’s been a tale of two seasons for the 7-8-3
Calgary Flames. As you can see by their record, the team has clawed their way to within one win of a .500 points percentage.
Tale number one would of course be their 2-6-1 October. The breakout struggled to land a pass up the neutral zone, vaunted rookie
Matthew Coronato ended the month on a five-game pointless streak, and the fanbase was beginning to wonder if there was simply a continuation of the 2022-2023 season.
And then, the all is changed moment — or in this case, moments. The subsequent call-ups of
Connor Zary and
Martin Pospisil. The two were deployed on a line on each side of
Nazem Kadri.
Queue the hot streak. A 5-2-2 record on the month has Flames fans talking positively about their team and, with any luck, so are the players. After all, who doesn’t like to win?
Tonight is represents an opportunity to put things at even. A blank slate. With any luck a wildcard spot at the end of the night.

Rebound Opportunity
UPDATE: Zary is injured and won’t play tonight.
Head Coach
Ryan Huska shortened the bench during the third period of Monday’s 4-3 overtime victory over the
Seattle Kraken. The casualties?
Connor Zary, AJ Greer and Walker Duehr.
Zary dipped under a point-per-game clip after only playing approximately two minutes in the final stanza. Will he respond tonight?
Superdeau
With a goal and an assist on Monday, 10.5 million dollar man
Jonathan Huberdeau has five points in his last three games.
He also laid this hit on Kraken winger Brandon Tanev .
