One of the top college free agents, Spencer Foo, has narrowed down the list of teams he's considering signing with.

The Calgary Flames are among the select few still in the running, according to Dean Molberg of Sportsnet 960.

Foo was born in Alberta so it's no surprise the Flames, like the Edmonton Oilers, are getting consideration from the local product.

The Detroit Red Wings, Vegas Golden Knights, and Philadelphia Flyers have also been rumored as potential landing spots so it's hard to pinpoint exactly where he'll end up, or which team(s) is out of the running if the list is three or four rather than five. Whatever the case, the Flames appear to have made the cut.

After consecutive 25-point seasons with Union College, the recently turned 23-year-old broke out in a huge way with 62 points in 38 games this past season.

The ECAC is not as difficult as some of the other NCAA divisions, however, he was obviously doing something right to put up numbers like that.

How much of that offense translates to the pros remains to be seen but it can't hurt to give the kid a shot. If not anything else, getting his signature would add more organizational depth on the wings.
