If at first you don't succeed try and try again.

The Calgary Flames are going to do just that as they're starting Karri Ramo against the Philadelphia Flyers despite his extremely poor play this season.

Ramo enters tonight's game having allowed four goals or more in four of his five starts. As such he owns a dreadful .871 save percentage and has looked completely inept between the pipes.

The Flames are hoping that won't be the case tonight as they need a quality start to help them get two points they really can't afford to drop.

Though the Flyers (and their star players) have struggled this season no team that can ice a Claude Giroux/Jakub Voracek duo 20+ minutes a night is an easy team to keep off the scoreboard.

That's something the Flames don't want to find out the hard way.

THREE KEYS

1) I know it's easier said than done but if the Flames can limit the damage that Giroux/Voracek cause they'll be in great shape. The Flyers are not getting much in the way of offense from their depth players right now.

2) Staying disciplined is very important tonight with the Flyers are struggling to score and the Flames struggling to keep the puck out of their net. They can't afford to parade to the box and make it easy on Philadelphia.

3) Pressure, pressure, pressure. The Flyers don't have many puck movers on their back end and Brandon Manning as well as Nick Schultz in particular have been tire fires in the defensive zone this season. Pressure them and they'll make mistakes.
