The Calgary Flames will be well represented during the annual Canada-Russia series in November as a couple of their prospects -- forwards Dillon Dube and Matthew Phillips -- were named to Team WHL's roster.

Dube, a 2nd round pick in 2016, tallied 76 points in 57 combined regular season + playoff games last season and has picked up where he left off this year with 12 points in his first eight games with the Kelowna Rockets.

Phillips, a 5'6' forward who slipped to the 6th round in 2016 due to size, is coming off a 50-goal, 90-point campaign and has taken it up a notch this season with 24 points in his first 10 games, which has him just a point off the league lead in scoring.

Obviously prolific junior careers don't guarantee future success, but it's encouraging these prospects are showing so well.

The Flames look to have done a masterful job at the draft table in 2016 with Matthew Tkachuk already playing fantastically at the NHL level and Dube, Phillips, Tyler Parsons, and Adam Fox, among others, all being among the best prospects in their respective leagues.
