Jets are believed to have a list of players they are targeting with Brassard and Nash being on the tops of that list. I think Jeff Hamilton of the Free Press made that statement so I hope he's right and assume so.

Knowing that- how deep does the list go and are the Jets locked in on it? Will they look at other teams if they come calling? Have they put out some names or lists of picks that they are willing to part with?

The general belief is that the Jets will acquire three players of their own within the next 2-3 weeks that could be bigger boost than any trade acquisition. When healthy the Jets roster looks like this depending on how the lines are made.

81 - 55 - 26
85 - 18 - 52
27 - 9 - 29
17 - 15 - 40/13

44-8
39-33
5-57

It's easy to see how adding a centre to the mix for bottom 6 forwards could be beneficial and or a solid two-way winger but some one sits. That has an effect given the success of the team and what they have done this season. Depth on the blue line is always good but it would seem that again the same problem arises, this team is good and deep so who do you sit to add another player if it's for depth? The only way I see defence man coming in is in a big, hockey-type, deal where one leaves. I can't imagine who gets moved given the state of affairs with team, injuries and contracts. Myers?

Consider that when hearing things and what the possible return could be.

Enjoy

Is this a keep "Hartman out of Winnipeg" deal? It's a big price for sure but Hartman is a developed first rounder. You are swapping a trained employee for a lottery pick to do it all over again. Keep watching Chevy folks something might happen now.

--------------------------------------

Holy mother Kevin Cheveldayoff pulled off a whopper of a deal trading a 2018 first, a 2020 4th, Eric Foley for Paul Stastny and the Blues retain 50% of salary.

This makes the third line look like this:

Ehlers Statsny Laine

The Jets are trading Foley's rights to St. Louis as he is not under contract and he might have preferred to stay within the US.

Take a look at this comparison:

This is a coup for Chevy and the Jets may have gotten a better player than Brassard.

Reports coming that Chevy had worked on this deal for some time and the Jets tried to sign him in summer of 14 as Sara Orlesky reminded on TSN. What is interesting is Statsny had to agree to waive his NTC and he did which says a lot about the Jets and what's happening.

Oh and this:

Statsny went from centring this....

More numbers and visuals to understand Statsny via Micah Blake McCurdy who will be in Winnipeg March 6th at U of Winnipeg.

Jets add Joe Morrow for a 4th round pick which equals this:
