The Islanders wrap up a four-game road trip against the Bruins tonight. New York is winless in their last two games and are in danger of losing three in a row for the first time this season.

Johnny Boychuk will miss a chance to face his former team as the defenseman will miss his second straight game. However former Bruin Dennis Seidenberg will play.

The team held a 45-minute meeting yesterday to address the horrific penalty kill, which has allowed a power-play goal in six straight games, two goals in four straight games and 11 over that span. They dropped to 30th in the league at 73.3%.

Say what you want about Nikolay Kulemin offensively, the forward is invaluable on the PK. The team is at 62.5% since Kulemin was lost for the season.

Some good news? The Isles fought back in the last five minutes of Thursday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins to force it to overtime after Jaroslav Halak’s inexcusable play to leave the crease and handle the puck allowing the Pens to take a two-goal lead. Halak will start tonight.

The Bruins get to see what they could’ve had in Mathew Barzal tonight. The Bruins somehow passed on the forward with three-straight first round picks in the 2015 draft. Barzal is leading all rookies with 27 points.

Tuukka Rask will make the start for the Bruins. The Bruins are 5-2-0 in their last seven games and 7-3-0 in their last 10.
