Idle Komisarek Requesting Trade? |

The Maple Leafs are enjoying a much needed three day respite from game action before embarking on a daunting schedule of 26 games in 54 days, but one of the few players who does not need any rest has grown tired of waiting to get back into the lineup.
TSN's Darren Dreger reported on Wednesday that veteran defenseman Mike Komisarek, who has not seen action since a 1-0 loss to the Boston Bruins at Air Canada Center on February 2nd is looking to be traded and that either he or his agent will reach out to Leafs management in hopes of facilitating a move before the April 3rd trade deadline.
The 31 year old native of West Islip, NY has played only four games this season, with no points and two penalty minutes and has been a victim of the recent influx of defensemen from the Toronto Marlies, as Mark Fraser, Mike Kostka and Korbinian Holzer have all played regularly for most of the Leafs 22 games.
Komisarek has a limited no trade clause and submits a list of 12 teams that he would be willing to be traded to at the beginning of each year, but according to reporter Andy Strickland he would be willing to go anywhere at this point if it would give him a chance to play.
