After getting the 2010-11 season off to a promising start with a 3-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Maple Leafs practiced Friday morning to get set for the second game of the season, Saturday night against the Ottawa Senators.

Here are five notes from Maple Leafs practice on Friday:

- Colby Armstrong did not participate in practice. Armstrong was sore from blocking a shot during Thursday's win against the Habs and was given Friday's practice off to recover. It was revealed however that he will not miss any game time and will play against the Sens on Saturday.

- John Mitchell filled in for Armstrong on the third line during practice after being a healthy scratch on Thursday. With no injuries to any forwards or any disappointing performances during Thursday's game, it is likely that Mitchell will be a healthy scratch once again on Saturday.

- Brett Lebda continues to get closer to returning after suffering a shoulder injury in a pre-season game against the Philadelphia Flyers more than two weeks ago. Lebda practiced with the Leafs on Friday and is expected to be back in the lineup by next Friday when Toronto takes on the New York Rangers.

- Dion Phaneuf was forced to miss a small amount of time during the third period of Thursday's win against Montreal after being cut in the midsection from a skate blade from a falling Hab. Phaneuf returned to the game and practiced with the Leafs. He appears to be fine and it was only a minor injury that required a few stitches.

- Following practice, Leafs head coach Ron Wilson revealed that Jean-Sebastien Giguere will get the start in net against Ottawa on Saturday. Giguere was brilliant against the Habs on Thursday, stopping 26 of 28 shots, including shutting the door during a late game push for the win and first star honours.
