NHL Network Ranks Stamkos #7 Best Center Right Now |

The NHL Network released their rankings of the top 20 centers currently playing in the National Hockey League. This list obviously features the cream of the crop, including Tampa Bay's own Steven Stamkos.
There is definitely some arguments to be made about some of the rankings, including that of Stamkos who was ranked number seven after only playing 17 games last season. His ranking is four spots higher than the previous year where he was ranked 11 after playing most of the regular season.
There is no denying that when healthy, Stamkos is not only one of the more dominant centers in the league, he is one of the top guys at any position in the entire NHL. However, health has been a major concern recently which makes him being ranked at seven a little puzzling.
Stamkos beat out Tyler Seguin, Ryan Getzlaf, and Mark Scheifele, who helped round out the top ten. John Tavares, Nicklas Backstrom, Auston Matthews, Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby, and Connor McDavid sit ahead of Stamkos on the list.
