6 straight losses and it’s time to hit the breaks. A small scuffle in yesterday’s practice at least showed a spark that is sorely needed. It is time for a (controlled) angry Red Wings team to hit the ice and get themselves into the groove quickly.
Some of you know how quickly you’ll be able to tell if the message has landed. If Detroit comes out flat, it could be another long night and there aren’t a lot of regular season games left. So, what do you hope to see in the first several shifts?
Austin Czarnik has been recalled
but I don’t know what the lineup will look like at this point. Players (and coach LaLonde) seem to feel like yesterday’s scuffle was a good starting point if the energy can be directed toward a positive end. Seider has vocalized his frustration with the streak and Kane seemed to offer some guidance on turning this around.
Let me know your thoughts. As always, you make the blog run. I’m very grateful to all who stop by. It’s another “do or die” game as the end of the regular season road is getting nearer. Let’s see if this group can pull together.
