Can Wings take flight against Buffalo and stop skid?

Thanks to an Islander’s loss, Detroit once again holds the final wildcard spot. Now, it’s time to take action. A 5 game losing streak has to end tonight to reignite the fans in what feels like a standings traffic jam.

Unfortunately, all stats are out the window right now as Detroit has seemed to be unable to find themselves or their game in a brutal stretch. The good news? We’ve seen the team return from a terrible overseas 2 game stand and turn it around. This is also an opportunity where the Red Wings won’t be playing a top contender to win it all. (Of course, AZ was a glaring exception over the past 4 and the Isles are pushing to punch a post season ticket)

There’s very little that can be said at this point. Either they will step on the ice and grab 2 points or they will scramble and leave many of us looking for answers.

Looking to all of you is never a let down. Put down your thoughts and what you feel like would be the game breaker at puck drop. Hopefully, a post game headline like “After losing 5, Wings come to life” or some sort of alliteration.
