Summary:

7 straight losses. Yes, Detroit faced a far better goalie performance than they were supported by. Still, missed passed, missed shots, broken plays and a lack of any structure is a disgusting watch. Lyon is off. Detroit can’t score. These games are awful and it’s starting to feel like Yzerman was content to see the team fizzle out. Even when he used the phrase “organizational depth” it felt like a dodge. The team got all of its chances but can’t play a game of hockey right now.

There’s not much left to say. Let me know your thoughts, but Debrincat is missing a lot of shots that should be going in. This feels like watching an AHL team try and play in the NHL. They just aren’t playing. I think LaLonde is terrible with the room and the players don’t have the constitution to get themselves into it. Sounds harsh, but after 7 straight with no sign of life fans should feel disgusted. It’s up to the team to change this, and I have no idea how that’s going to happen.

Detroit First Period goals:

With 2 minutes left in the first Detroit was on another power play, but down 1-0 having given up a short handed goal early. With 59 seconds left in the advantage Patrick Kane made a cross ice pass to Raymond who was on his off wing and drove home the game tying goal. Ghost with the 2nd assist. 1-1

Shots: 10-7 DET
Score: 1-1

Detroit Red Wings Second Period goals:

No Detroit goals in the 2nd period

Shots: 20-16 DET
Score: 2-1 AZ

Third Period Detroit goals

No third period goals
