Logan Brown, the Senators first round pick just over a month ago, has survived his first test in the quest to land a spot on the US National Junior team.

Brown was named to the 32 man main roster following the first set of scrimmages, and is 1 of 17 forwards to make that cut. It doesn't mean much in terms of making the team, but he has kept himself in the mix and will allow the coaches to see more of what the big centre has to offer. He was held pointless in the two scrimmage games he suited up for thus far.

The US team will be joined by Sweden, Finland and Canada in the round robin tournament that runs from today to Saturday.

Canada (with Thomas Chabot as 1 of 14 defensemen listed on the roster) plays Finland at 1:00 this afternoon while Brown will hope to be one of the 13 forwards in the lineup when his Team USA squad faces Sweden at 4:00 PM.

Both games will be on TSN, so it is a chance to hopefully get a look at a trio of Sens prospects (Sweden's Jonathan Dahlen being the third).

Hey, at least its something to see!
