My vote is for Cole Schneider to be called up to Buffalo.

Schneider has been biding his time while playing fantastically in the minors.

Schneider has been Rochester's best player all season long and has been bumped over for promotion to Buffalo. Justin Bailey, Nick Baptiste and Derek Grant have all been elevated to Buffalo to fill in for injured forwards.

Schneider, a Williamsville, NY native, has been recalled to be the extra forward in the event that Ryan O'Reilly cannot play tonight. ROR will be a game time decision for the Ottawa Senators game.

In ten games this season, Schneider has scored seven goals and assists for the Rochester Amerks.

Schneider played two games for the Sabres last season and was pointless.

Tyler Ennis has a "mid body" injury that will force him to sit out tonight.

Ennis has a goals and an assist in 12 games. Ennis has struggled to find his scoring and play making punch while skating with Samson Reinhart and Zemgus Girgensons.

Ryan O'Reilly is a game time decision tonight.

In his post practice presser, Dan Bylsma said that Jack Eichel will be seeing a doctor today. Eichel is recovering from a high ankle sprain that he suffered the day before the season opener. Bylsma said that Eichel is looking to progress in his recovery, however, is still weeks away.

Eichel has moved out of his off loading boot and is wearing an air cast on his ankle.

Eichel was injured one month ago today.

The timeline for recovery from a high ankle sprain is 6-8 weeks.

Welcome back, Evander Kane.

The Buffalo power forward took the morning skate this morning and has been green lit to play against the Ottawa Senators.

Kane cracked four ribs on opening night against Montreal. He has missed the past seven games.

The Sabres need goal scoring help badly. Kane will help the cause as best he can.

The Sabres are ranked 28th in the NHL with 25 goals for in 12 games played this season. The have scored only 17 goals at 5v5 in 12 games

Kane potted 20 goals last season.

Buffalo hosts the Sens tonight then have a home-and-home series with New Jersey.

The first game will be played in Buffalo on Friday. Then it's off to St. Louis for a Tuesday night tilt with the Blues.

Forwards Tyler Ennis and Ryan O'Reilly did not skate on Wednesday morning.

Will The struggling Ennis be scratched tonight?

Is ROR a maintenance day?

Hudson Fasching also skated. He was injured in Minnesota two weeks ago.
