Quick Hits.

First Heatley update...

* I am told that all is not well in the deal with the Sharks right now and tensions got extremely high last night into this morning...Still waiting to see how this plays out.

And the rest....

*Zherdev to Buffalo is a "definite possibility," according to a source in NY. Meanwhile, a league source in NY has confirmed that the Caps are trying to make a deal to free up space and grab Zherdev.

*The Habs are now talking to the Hawks again. It is believed that the Hawks are very high on Halak and may be willing to part with a d-man.

*Gillis told a Canucks radio station that he was confident that Luongo would be signed to a new deal prior to the season. Speculation is that the deal is in the 8 million range, however my sources are saying it will likely be closer to 6.5 to 7 over a VERY long time.

*Tanguay is still very much in the same place he has been for the last month. Reports of him getting close to Tampa are out there, but I am hearing that while Tampa is the favorite, the Penguins, Flames and Wings are also interested. Now before we sit and consider that just about every team has been rumored in on Tanguay at some point, I am sensing a different trend here. All four of these teams are 1 year deal teams. Has Alex decided one year is the way to go?

*Mike Comrie is a player to watch today and tomorrow. I am hearing Minnesota and Anaheim this morning.

*Add Nashville to the list of teams that are interested in Prospal.

*I will definitely write more on Roenick later today. JR has been a long time friend of the site and is definitely going to be fun to watch as he transitions into his life after hockey.

more to come..
